Keller Auditorium

With a capacity for almost 3,000 people, Keller Auditorium is an architectural masterpiece in the center of downtown Portland. Originally named the Municipal Auditorium and then the Portland Civic Auditorium, this iconic venue has showcased the best performances from across the world. Built in 1917, the Auditorium was a centerpiece for performing arts in Portland. It went through a renovation in the summer of 2000 thanks to a $1.5 million donation from Richard B. Keller.

The Auditorium was renamed after the Keller family who influenced the redevelopment of Portland’s commercial districts. The beautiful fountain outside of Keller Auditorium is named after Richard’s father, Ira Keller, who helped to revitalize business sectors throughout Portland. Their contributions have brought a cultural value that is appreciated by all who have witnessed the performing arts.

Keller Auditorium is home to famous Broadway productions, such as Rent, Wicked, and Cats. It also showcases the Oregon Ballet, Opera, and family oriented performances. This venue will provide spectators with an unforgettable experience that can only be matched by your next visit to Keller Auditorium.
